The way it always should have been

One of the biggest compliments we can get, and how we know we have delivered a successful project to a client is when we people in the space say “oh, it wasn’t always like this?”

For this renovation project, we were brought on as the designer and builder to reformat the first floor of the house. The original layout was confusing and created unnecessary separation between the spaces. We started the design process by exploring what would happen if we removed all the walls and found the right place for the kitchen first, then we added walls and cased openings as needed to organize the spaces based on flow and function.
